Verizon FIOS Broadband connection to AOL

I have been unable to connect to AOL or reach the aol.com web site through Verizon FIOS this morning. Unable to receive emails on iphone through Verizon network. Can receive them when I disable wireless on iphone. Can access aol.com through other means, just not on Verizon. Opened a ticket with Verizon. They just called me to tell me it's not them, AOL told them they're having an issue.
I can't understand how.
