Email does NOT work

Loads Inbox but I cannot open Email, folder, take any action. Switching to old version option, which it returns IMMEDIATELY when I try to open an Email is not a panacea as I cannot forward Email (it changes contents to gobbledigook and removes links). Same when replying.
I did a "chat" with AT&T yesterday. The stance was clearly to "pretend" the issue was at my end, even though I told them the issue is the same on Apple (Safari) and Lenovo (Windows OS, Chrome) laptops. I let them take command of my laptop, they reset the Safari settings, Safari crashed, interrupted the chat. I'M STILL WAITING FOR THEM TO CALL ME TO CONTINUE WITH CALL.
