I cannot get emails on my iPad or iPhone. CONSTANTLY telling me my settings are wrong. Help!!

My wife and I have slightly different email addresses on the same Comcast account.  There are two desktop PCs in my house.  I can send an email from either PC to anywhere in the world (including to my wife) but not to myself.  My wife can send an email from either PC to anywhere (including herself) except to me.  In other words, all incoming email to my address fails to get through, but in all other respects both my wife's and my email service works properly.  It's been that way for over four days now.

Same problem here.  

I solved it by checking the settings and resetting a couple of them according to an article - and magically everything is fine again, all the hung-up email was downloaded to my iPhone.  Just be patient to let the verification complete and wait a couple of minutes to let the server download.  Working hypothesis is that Apple downloaded something that messed up a couple of settings.

Also I used the POP settings with SSL On for the incoming server, not the recommended IMAP settings.
