Can't synchronize my Outlook with my comcast.net mail - constantly fails authentication.

For the past 2+ weeks Comcast internet has been down in Carnation,Wa several times a day. I report it, they say it isn't, then finally admit it is. Fleet of Xfinity trucks here last week. Now email is not working.
