Cannot access email from phone or any desk top

Sincew 10/14/14. Same as all the others posting here. I was able to get in briefly early evening on 10/14, but that's it. Get a box that says I landed there because I was trying to access Comcast phone or something. I can log into my account but can't get to my emails.

Comcast chat is telling me I can no longer access this email because it is attached to an account I had at a previous address 3 1/2 years ago. They offered to move it all over to a new account and I told them STOP, do not do anything. He could not explain to me why this would suddenly occur in the last 2 days. I'm thinking if this has happened to anyone else, it may be that you moved and moved your service at one time and Comcast decided to do some consolidation and neglected to inform the customer. Hope this makes sense.

When server maintenance was done earlier this week that caused large outages, it also apparently affected those who had active and inactive accounts. I called Comcast today and the representative totally understood the problem, it is in the process of being fixed within the next 24 hours. They are doing a "back door" fix. I'm supposed to receive a call back.

Had to call a number just for email issues. Active and inactive accounts are on 2 different servers and with the latest server update a week or so ago, my inactive account was deleted and my email accounts along with it, even though I used those same email names with my new account. I was told that usually happens within days of moving, guy said it had nothing to do with the server update. I think it did. If you still can't access email call 1-888-565-4329 and see if that isn't your issue. It was a little bit of a pain to have to call a few times, not as fast as regular customer service but these people know their sh**. Not first level tech,  but second level.
