Can not activate debit card

New account. Debit card came today. Tried to activate online and it said to call on the phone. Waited on hold for ONE HOUR when a recording told me to activate at any Bank of America ATM. Went to TWO branch ATMs, and both said that the card was invalid. What a joke.
