Each time I contact ATT they say their email servers are down and are trying to fix it. No ETA on when this will get fixed.

I spoke with AT&T via their 1 866 722 3425 number and after numerous 'holds' was advised that there's an issue with the yahoo side of the email system. There was no advice as to when it would be sorted out. Just the recommendation to 'keep trying a few times each day until it works'. Very professional. Just tried it and still DOA. Last time it worked for me was 20th May so that is a week now.
