Email not loading properly

Many emails that I received and read last month and kept them in my inbox have disappeared. Some of them reappeared in my spam folder, but I never marked these emails as spam. Why are my emails either disappearing from my inbox or perhaps just not loading? Also, same email account on my Android is not loading my emails. It's as if they all disappeared. What's going on?
