*AT&T Notice to Email Data Service Customers - My Take

Here is my interpretation of the runaround that I got today from AT&T when I tried to get through about this email issue:

 

Dear Valued AT&T Customer:

 

Please accept our most sincere apology for today's unexpected and extended server outage.  Please know that customer satisfaction is our primary goal here at AT&T.  I can assure each and every one of you that our engineers are working diligently towards developing an immediate remedy for today's delay in the data processing of incoming customer email transmissions.  I can also assure you that each email that has been received today by our valued AT&T customers is currently in queue on our inbound data servers, and will be dispatched as promptly as possible to each AT&T end user email recipient.

 

For those of you who may be experiencing a business or other financial emergency due to today's unexpected service disruption, please feel free to call the AT&T Emergency Service Disruption desk directly to create an emergency expedited repair request ticket.  Telephonic contact information is as follows:

My incoming email is not working. Outgoing seems to be working. Incoming is not.
