internet explorer cannot open aol

for two days, internet explorer cannot access aol as my home page.  I get a revised address in the

browser tab that says aol.com/cgi-bin/redirect.ha   If I change the home page to aol/mail I can get into

the mail site just fine and then navigate to the home page side of aol.  This is the ONLY site I cannot

open using IE.  This started when my ATT UVerse modem needed to be reset.  The ATT tech said he saw

nothing wrong but could not fix it over the phone.  Figured maybe somehow the modem was blocking

that site so sent a rep out and changed it and reset everything.  Still not able to access aol thru IE.

Finally they said it must be aol that's screwed up, yet I can access it on my phone just fine.  Any ideas?
